BALLISTICS ENGINEER

Your prime focus will be to provide technical expertise and project management in the field of weapons testing and ballistics both for commercial and military applications. You will primarily perform test and evaluation of firearms and ammunition for adherence to Sporting Arms and Ammunition Institute (SAAMI), ASTM Ballistic Standards, NIJ Ballistic Standards, UL Ballistic Standards and military specification standards using our 100 meter weapons testing facility. Your familiarity with studies on firearms, ammunition, body armor and other specialized law enforcement equipment as well as your ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing will be essential. Presenting technical test and evaluation results to representatives of ammunition and firearms manufacturers and other government agencies will be an integral part of the responsibilities for this opportunity. Duties will include: ? Test and evaluation of firearms and ammunition ? Develop and write comprehensive test plans and test reports for forearms and/or ammunition testing and evaluation projects ? Develop and present technical test and evaluation results Candidates Must Possess: ? BS Degree or minimum of 5 years experience in the field ? 3-10 years experience in use and testing of firearms and ammunition ? Knowledge of small caliber firearms used in law enforcement ? Knowledge of terminal ballistics test parameters for law enforcement/and or military ammunition. ? Brown, Inc. has a unique opportunity for an Electro-mechanical technician with ordinance release equipment testing and repair experience. You should be able to understand the operation and be able to troubleshoot, repair and replace internal components associated with bomb racks.
